Are you available?
Hi friends!
I know it's been a long time since my last post. I've just come out of a season of a stressful and overwhelming part-time job, to now working from home (YAY!!!). This is something that is very new to me. I've never worked from home full-time (part-time, yes), but not completely full-time. I am super excited, yet nervous at the same time. There's so much I want to do for our family businesses and my Faith2Fitt ministry. But I know it will take time. I need to find a routine and schedule that works best for all of this. I have so much to do, to get started, and to accomplish. But with every lesson, trial, or challenge, I know God is preparing me for what is coming, which is something I'm extremely excited about. Many days I write in my planner, "I'm excited for what is coming!", because I know God has big plans for me. He always has unimaginable, beautiful plans for each one of us and that truly excites me.
So, get excited for today, for tomorrow, and for all that is coming! God believes in you and He wants to see you live the life He's envisioned for you. His vision for you is only for YOU - no one else. No one can take that away. When you really think about that, isn't that awesome?! When God created you, He said, "my dear, _______ (insert your name), I have such big plans for you. I can't wait for you to live them and be blessed by them."
So how do we live out God's dream for our lives? I think it's just being available to Him and for Him. When we serve him, we find fulfillment, joy, and peace. And serving God looks different for everyone. It doesn’t mean we are all called to go on a mission trip. But be open and available for him to speak to you and show you.
How does being available to God look like? I’ve recently read in a devotional that it’s giving Him your time - in silence, in prayer and relationship; asking the Holy Spirit to show you the way in each and every decision; and listening for Him to speak and then doing the next right thing. But mostly, by being in relationship with Him.
I’m not always getting it right and I know I will always be a work in progress. It’s not always easy, but He’s always worth it.
So, are you making yourself available to the Lord? What do you need to change in your life to do so?
Psalm 16:11
You will show me the path of life;
In Your presence is fullness of joy;
At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
In this picture, I was in Vermont for the weekend with my family and it was an amazing, restful, peaceful time. I felt so alive. Can you tell? ;)
