A kick-butt workout and only 15 minutes!

Today’s Faith2Fitt class was a tough one! No equipment needed for this workout and you can do it anywhere.

Many times in my class I use kettle bells, resistance bands and other equipment but today I kept it simple. And boy did it challenge us. As with all my classes, we started with prayer and our verse of the day (Isaiah 43:4). We then warmed up and stretched a little bit in preparation for our workout. For your warm up you can just do two minutes of jumping jacks, marching, jump rope - anything to get your blood flowing. Do some light stretches and then get started!

I started with a timed HIIT (50 seconds work, 10 secons rest):

High Knees
Mountain Climbers
Squat Jumps
Shuffle knee/hop - shuffle to the right and left quickly
Lunge jumps

Then the following AMRAP. Doing the following exercises for a total of 5 minutes for AMRAP (As Many Rounds As Possible):

10 Push Ups
10 Tricep Dips
10 Bicycle Abs
10 Butt Lifts in Bridge

We did the above two rounds, then another round of the HIIT. We also walked outside and did some core work. It was TOUGH. But we made it!

Exercising doesn’t have to be complicated. And if all you have time for is one round of one of the above combinations, that is ok! You are enough and what you can do is enough.

Isaiah 43:4 (ESV)
Because you are precious in my eyes,
and honored, and I love you,
I give men in return for you,
peoples in exchange for your life.
