Last week I decided to teach a completely different type of workout to my private member zoom group - a format that I don't do on a regular basis.
I was excited to teach the class (as always!), but we had some technical difficulties in the beginning, which threw me off. So, as I was leading and teaching it, I started to feel unqualified. After class, I kept questioning myself and wondering whether everyone enjoyed the class - did they get a good workout? Could they sense my uncertainty? Will they come back for the next class? And I kept focusing on the things that didn't go right.
But as I was driving, having these thoughts and doubts in my head, I said to myself, "but I showed up." I showed up. Even though it may not have been perfect, I showed up and I did my best. This reminded me that whenever we put our sneakers on and do some type of exercise (no matter what it is!), we show up. And we show the enemy - who wants to steal, kill, and destroy, that we are not giving up. We are moving our bodies, as God intended us to. it doesn’t have to be perfect. It doesn’t have to be super long and miserable. Just keep showing up and do the best you can.
