Hi friends!
This Lent I'm trying something new as a small sacrifice. At the end of my shower, a nice and super HOT shower (I'm that person whose skin is red from the hot water), I turn the water down so it's cold, and I say a prayer for all those in the world without clean water to drink or bathe in, without hot water and heat, and for all those suffering. I confess that I do not turn the water all the way down to bitter cold! I've tried, but I chicken out! I take such hot showers that the water is at the maximum, so I turn it down so it's cold, but not freezing. I wish I could say it's freezing, cold water and I'm super woman, and I can handle it. But no. Man, it's not easy to get out of the comforts of life. We are so privileged and blessed. And although my prayer in the cold shower is not a long one, I know God sees my small sacrifice and does accept it as a prayer for others. I'm not telling you this so I can boast about this small sacrifice, but to encourage you and tell you that whatever small sacrifice you make, God sees it. And He loves you for it. Take whatever suffering you may be going through - a headache, a cold, a body pain, whatever it may be, and offer it up as a prayer to others who are in deep suffering, serious illness, and in a much worse situation than you may be. You will feel empowered and better just by doing it.
The second and last thing I wanted to mention is, I will continue to teach my fitness classes until further notice. I understand people are worried right now about the coronavirus and, rightly so.However, I am choosing to live in a spirit of hope, healing, positivity, love, and power. In addition, I will be sanitizing all my equipment (kettle bells, body bars, yoga mats, etc.) before and after class. So I hope you find comfort in that. If you decide not to attend my class for awhile, it's ok! I'll be here waiting for when you come back. And I'll be praying for your health and safety.
